? Possessive Adjective: Your
Use your to show ownership or that something belongs/relates to the person you are currently talking to. It must always modify a noun.
- Bring your favorite music to the party. (Your specifies whose music)
- Your parents will pick you up. (The parents belonging to you)
- All of your hard work has paid off. (The work done by you)
⚡ Contraction: You’re
Use you’re strictly as a short way of writing or saying “you are”. It combines the subject pronoun you and the verb are.
- I hope you’re going to come to the party. (= you are going…)
- You’re a great singer. (= you are a great…)
