Understanding Synonyms
What are Synonyms?
Synonyms are words that have the same or almost the same meaning. Learning synonyms helps you avoid repeating the same words and allows you to be more precise in your writing. For example, instead of saying “The dog was mad,” you could say “The dog was furious” to show a stronger emotion.
Nuance: While synonyms are similar, they aren’t always exactly the same. Damp means slightly wet,while soaked means completely wet. Choosing the right synonym depends on the situation.
