All About Transportation
Transportation is howpeople move from one place to another. We use different kinds of machines called vehicles to travel. Some vehicles move on land, like a car or a bus. Some move on water, like a boat. Some fly in the sky, like a plane. When we go on a long trip, it is called a journey or travel.
Many vehicles have wheels to help them move. A bus has big wheels. A bike has twowheels. When you look out the window of a vehicle, you can seemany things. You might see traffic lights, signs, or other cars. It is fun to go places!
Shapes All Around Us
We see shapes everywhere intransportation. The wheels on a bus are shaped like a circle. A circle is round and has no straight lines. A triangle has three straight sides and three corners. A square has four straight sides that are all the same length. A rectangle also has four sides, but two are long and two are short.
