We use the verb to have to show possession (what we own) or to talk about illnesses and conditions.
- I, You, We, They → have (e.g., I have a book. They have breakfast.)
- He, She, It, Names (Singular) → has (e.g., She has a pen. Ben has a cold.)
When someone is sick, we often use must togive advice. ‘Must’ means it is necessary.
