Understanding Object Pronouns
In English, pronouns are words that replace nouns. When we talk about ourselves ora group we belong to, we use We as the subject. But when the action happens to us, we change the word to Us.
Similarly, when we talk about other people (plural) as the subject, we use They. When the action happens to them, we change the word to Them.
- We like the cake. (Subject) → The cake is for us. (Object)
- They are playing. (Subject) → I am playing with them. (Object)
