Ants live in groups called colonies. A queen ant lays eggs. Worker ants do many jobs such as finding food, caring for young ants, and making tunnels. Ants use smell to leave a trail so other ants can find food. Some ants bite or sting when they need to stay safe. An ant farm is a clear container that lets people watch ants work. Ants are strong for their size and can work together very well.
