These are common verbs used in instructions and commands:

Use these verbs in short sentences to give commands, suggestions, or instructions.
Grammar: Imperative Mood
1. Basic Commands
Use the base form of the verb to tell someone to do something:
- Come here.
- Write your name.
- Listen carefully.
2. Politeness with "Please"
Add please to make commands polite:
- Please sit down.
- Please open the window.
3. Negative Imperatives
To tell someone not to do something, use don't + verb:
- Don't touch that.
- Don't forget your keys.
4. Suggestions with Let's
Include yourself and others using Let's + verb:
- Let's go to the park.
- Let's eat lunch now.
5. Formal Suggestions
Use Shall we + verb for polite suggestions:
- Shall we start the meeting?
- Shall we dance?
6. Indirect Commands
Use want + person + infinitive:
- I want you to write your name.
- She wants him to wait here.
7. General Instructions Using "You"
Use you to mean "anybody" in instructions:
- You press the red button to start the machine.
- You turn left at the traffic light.
Worked Examples
Example 1: Giving a Simple Command
Instruction: Tell your friend to come here politely.
Answer: Please come here.
