In this unit, you will practice sharing your creative drawings and telling simple stories about your imagination. You will learn to describe your ideas using basic English words.

Vocabulary

draw – make a picture with a pencil or pen.

paint – use colors to make a picture.

story – something you tell with words, often imagined.

picture – an image you see or create.

imagine – think about something that is not real.

create – make something new.

colour – put colors on something.

happy – feeling good or pleased.

sad – feeling unhappy.

big – large in size.

small – little in size.

funny – makes you laugh.

compare – say how two things are the same or different.

friend – a person you like and trust.

Grammar

1. Can for Ability

Use: "can" shows what someone is able to do.

Form: subject + can + verb

Examples:

  • I can draw a picture.
  • She can paint very well.
  • They can create stories.

2. Comparatives

Use: Compare two things.

Form: adjective + -er + than OR more + adjective + than

Examples:

  • My drawing is bigger than yours.
  • This story is more funny than the last one.

3. Present Continuous

Use: Actions happening now.

Form: subject + am/is/are + verb-ing

Examples:

  • I am drawing a picture.
  • She is painting a happy face.
  • They are imagining a big story.

Worked Examples

Example 1: I can create a funny story. ✅

Example 2: My picture is bigger than my friend's picture. ✅

Example 3: She is colouring a happy drawing now. ✅
