This is a routine, so we use the present simple.
Grammar 2: Present Continuous (For Now)
Use
Use the present continuous for actions happening now.
Form:
Subject + am / is / are + verb + ing
- I am practicing now.
- She is singing now.
- They are listening to music.
Time words: now, right now, today
I am learning a new song today.
The action is happening now or around now.
I practice piano every day. → routine
I am practicing piano now. → happening now
Grammar 3: Imperatives for Instructions
Use
Use imperatives to give instructions or directions.
Form:
Base verb + ...
- Listen carefully.
- Sing slowly.
- Practice this exercise.
- Play the song again.
Teachers often use imperatives during lessons.
Teacher: "Warm up first."
Teacher: "Play the melody again."
These are instructions.
