Present Simple for Routines

We use the present simple to talk about habits and daily activities.

  • I start work at 9:00.
  • She finishes tasks in the afternoon.

Have got

We use have got to talk about possession or responsibilities.

  • I have got a meeting at 10 a.m.
  • He has got many tasks today.

Prepositions of Time

We use in, on, and at for time.

  • in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening
  • on Monday, on Tuesday
  • at 9:00, at noon

Example 1: Talking about your schedule

Q: When do you start work?

A: I start work at 9:00 in the morning.

Example 2: Making a plan

Q: What tasks have you got today?
