heard = listened to or received a sound (past form of hear)

Word Connections
We can use many of the new words together.
Example: I usually play with my friends after school.

Grammar Focus: Talking About the Past
1. Using "didn't"
We use didn't to say something was not true in the past.
Pattern:
Subject + didn't + base verb
Examples:
- I didn't watch TV.
- She didn't go to the park.
- We didn't play basketball.
2. Using "heard"
Heard is the past form of hear.
Examples:
- I hear music. (now)
- I heard music yesterday. (past)
3. Using "usually"
Usually tells us something happens most of the time.
Pattern:
Subject + usually + verb
Examples:
- I usually eat breakfast at 7:00.
- They usually walk home.

Example 1
Sentence: I usually play with my friends.
Meaning: Most days, I play with people I like.
